Join UNSTUCK and learn how to stress less and live more every single day!
Have you ever looked around at your life and wondered how it became so overwhelmingly hectic? Do you sometimes catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and wonder where that free-spirited, magnetic woman with big dreams and zest for life disappeared to?
Suddenly, it feels like every day is a blur, and you barely have a moment to pee by yourself (let alone the chance to be fun, carefree, and spontaneous).
Yet, no matter how hard you try, it seems like everything is crumbling around you, like sinking into quicksand. You’re not lost in it; you’re aware that you can’t sustain this level of chaos and exhaustion.
And that by embracing this principle, you can finally live a life that flows effortlessly, where you feel deeply connected and fulfilled without ANY sacrifice?…
If yes, keep reading!
While exercise, meditation, therapy, medication/supplements, journaling (and, let’s be honest, a good bottle of wine) can provide temporary relief, they don’t create lasting change in your life.
What you really want is to feel good from the moment you wake up until your head blissfully hits the pillow (as opposed to that feeling of impending dread).
As an executive woman and a mother of three active kids, I completely understand the demands that life throws at us. I used to refer to the hours between 8AM and 8PM as the “rat race.” Yes, an entire 12 hours of my day was filled with high stress, anxiety, and little connection or joy.
I vividly remember asking myself, “If my life is the sum of its parts, what kind of life am I living?” I found myself eagerly anticipating the end of each day, spending 80% of my time waiting for the day to finally end. It felt like such a waste! I would wake up already feeling behind… how was that even possible?
I wanted more joy and connection in my life without having to give up anything I loved. I wanted my kids to see me as full of life and instead, they saw me as an angry nag. I’d say “If you just listened the first time, I wouldn’t have to yell” putting all the pressure and blame onto them. I no longer felt in love with my life. It felt like it was crushing me every day… I loved it, but I hated it. It was a paradox.
I LOVED my work and what I did.
I cherished my family.
I appreciated lots of downtime.
I was energized by my social life…
But it seemed like there weren’t enough hours in the day to truly feel fulfilled. I was either exhausted from trying to juggle everything or left feeling unfulfilled because I had to sacrifice certain aspects of my life.
I wasted far too much time trapped in the burnout cycle. If you can relate, and you’re feeling the pressures, you’re on the exact right page!
If any of the above sounds like your life right now, you’re in good company. You’re not alone and this can all change very quickly (without another commitment to manage).
